Shelf Rack

How do I clean the metal rack/shelf inside my oven?
I cleaned the oven for the very first time last night and don’t think it had been done in about a year and a half, (my Mum died so now I’m starting to do all the cleaning etc) I managed to get most of the inside clean but kinda gave up after a while, but it’s a lot better than it was, and I got the grill cleaned but just can’t clean the shelf thingy, and I’m not really in the mood for loads of elbow grease as was at it for 7 hours yesterday! Anyone got any easy suggestions?
Oven Pride is great, you just put the shelves in the bag with the solution (which can also be used on the inside) and leave it overnight. In the morning all the grime should just rinse off.
It costs about £4.00 from Wilkinsons or some supermarkets (ASDA do it), but its well worth the cost.
